Hi just installed the 1.0.0.0rc version, when visting www.telegraph.co.uk there are two problems:
firstly the web site and media portal freezes for about 2 minutes, only way out is to use the task manager to kill browse the web process.
logs have loads of these lines:

2013-03-26 19:15:08.158201 [Debug][MPMain(1)]: BrowseTheWeb | load favorite http://www.telegraph.co.uk/

2013-03-26 19:15:12.785465 [Debug][(12)]: PSClientPlugin: System declared busy by the user (not idle)
finally when you kill the process yuou get:

also there the comments section on the pages doesn't load, it's not on everypage but the ones where you can submit comments there section doesn't load, this has been happening for a while, ssince before v0.3.7
is this an xul runner issue?

No freezing problems here. Logs suggest PSClientPlugin is the culprit. I did note however that when loading the telegraph page it pops up with a "Scanstyles does nothing in Webkit/Firefox/Opera" which is fixed (courtesy of here by overriding the useragent in the BrowseTheWeb config to Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; rv:18.0) Gecko/ Firefox/18.0

Edit: I couldn't find what you meant by the comment sections

    Hi
thanks for looking into this, the delay /freezing started with the upgrade to v1. so may be i need todo a fresh install. what is psclientplugin btw?
the comments section are on some articles, provided by a website called discus.
i don't get any thing here, i did wonder if the firewall was blocking but all other pc clients display ok.

The Psplugin is the powerscheduler, and now that I think of it, it might just be saying the system is busy, and not keeping it busy :)

A reinstall could be a bit harsh or do you mean the BTWeb plugin? In that case make sure you delete the xulrunner folder and the xulrunner.zip after uninstall.

As for the comments: I'm not that good with html/js/css/etc so I don't know why it doesn't load the comments correctly.
I do however see a bit of a delay between displaying the comments page (f.e. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/...-headline-Glastonbury-2013.html#disqus_thread) and the displaying of the actual comments, so it might be some kind of trick they use which works in regular browsers, but not in the plugin...

First of all thank you for this plugin. I am trying to use it for browsing netflix but for some reason the plugin doesnt assign link ids to the movie links. Any way to fix this?

Netflix isn't available in my country, so I don't have any means to test it :(

    Hi,

I´ve just tried to install Browse the Web but the MPEInstaller crashed shortly after the Configuration has opnened.
Mediaportal Config crashes also if I´m trying to open the Browse the Web configuration....
Needles to say that Mediaportal doesn´t start anymore and crashes upon startup.

Any hints? Did I´ve to install some additional Software ?

I have the exact same problem. Uninstall/reinstall doesn't seem to help. Problem started after updating to v1.3...

I have a problem and browsetheweb with MP 1.3.0.0 alpha and above.

During installation on a clean MP 1.3 the MPEI-installer crashes and the plugin is not in the list for installed plugin in the Extension Manager. But the plugin is in the list in the MP configuration, but after opening the configuration of browsetheweb the MP configuration also crashes.

Here are the last lines of the configuration log:

    Code:
    2013-02-06 08:25:32.283137 [Debug][Config Main(1)]: BrowseTheWeb | zip found : C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Cache\xulrunner.zip
    2013-02-06 08:25:38.055147 [Debug][Config Main(1)]: BrowseTheWeb | unpack finished to C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal
    2013-02-06 08:25:38.070747 [Debug][Config Main(1)]: BrowseTheWeb | HtmlAgilityPack: 08.09.2011 06:51:52
    2013-02-06 08:25:38.070747 [Debug][Config Main(1)]: BrowseTheWeb | Skybound.Gecko.dll: 13.01.2013 15:55:08
2013-02-06 08:25:39.225150 [Debug][Config Main(1)]: BrowseTheWeb | Exception on init Xpcom : Die DLL "xpcom": Die angegebene Prozedur wurde nicht gefunden. (Ausnahme von HRESULT: 0x8007007F) kann nicht geladen werden.

These lines are coming again and again during every launch of the configuration right before it crashes.

Hope you have a solution for that.

    Greetings fischy667
Had the same error weeks ago. But unfortunately we were not able to solve the problem. Fortunately I had the error only on my Test-PC. On my HTPC it is working fine.

Can you try uninstall, remove xulrunner folder, xulrunner.zip and install version 1.0.0?
