Well, that´s a bit specific:
PVHD (and DWHD) support the so-called "Online Extra (OnX)" function - that is a pure MP skin expression driven function.
For easier explanation see the following screenshots from MyMusic:

Select an album, here Adele 21

Open the context menu, at the bottom you have the button for OnX

After clicking on OnX button the menu changes to this view, where you choose e.g. Discogs

Browse the web opens with the re-direction message...

... clicking on the first link brings you finally to the desired page

Would be very nice if it would be possible to skip the re-direction screen as you can setup in real firefox

OnX work in the context menus of tvseries, movpic, tv programme guide, trakt, myfilms...

Just do as @catavolt wrote: Right Click e.g. on an Album --> context Menu opens --> now click on OnX - you can also use key <right>, this also leads you to the google, wikipedia, Discogs etc. Symbols.

hm, that isn't working at my end.
Strangely if i first go into an album folder and then go back to the list of albums, I don't see an ON anymore.
Restarting mp and going to the albums folder, it shows up again, and clicking gives me a grid of all black squares, so somehow I must be missing something.
As this seems to be a nice addition to introduce to the production htpc, I do want to know more about it. especially why it isn't working at my end.
Any docs about this?

hm, that isn't working at my end.

Pls be sure to use only database views - shares views won´t work
Attached the ZIP with the necessary OnX XMLs for DefaultWideHD - documentation is inside the XMLs - have fun
