FYI I found an "official" patch/rollback from Hauppauge here and it works amazingly !

I only had to run the provided "HcwDriverInstall.exe", accept all warnings, restart the computer and it was done

If found it here : WinTV KB - Nova-T-500 causes BSOD or sudden reboot in usbehci.sys in Windows XP SP3

The Microsoft hotfix KB969238 is the only thing which resolved this issue for me. I believe this patch is specifically designed to resolve this issue on XP SP3. At last the system runs without crashing!
