Bug primarily occurs after a succelful suspend or hibernation.
On exiting MP (restart, shutdown, exit, suspend or hibernate) a BSOD occurs. I have observed that the crash is certain if the TV can't initialize the TV card (black TV frame in My TV), but can also occur without TV card initializing problems.
I have several minidumps to document this crash all containing the save info refering to stream.sys: http://pastebin.team-mediaportal.com/11846 .
I have tried multiple versions of the Hauppauge MCE150 driver, but same error.

What have I tried?
Multiple reinstalls, MP versions, diffrent RAM, audio drivers, BIOS settings, PCI slots, video card drivers, tv-tuner drivers -> So could it be MP?

---------------------------

So, is this a driver problem or MP crashing my system - let the mystery unfold.

I am using a little program that is killing MP after my suspend PC command and after resuming from suspend it calls MP again...this helps a bit but still some BSOD occurs...
Any help?? :(

Can you post your logs directly after this happens? Also, if you can find a way to reproducibly cause this, it would greatly help.

Dear eggz2004, you dont know how happy you just made me, I was starting to fear I was all alone with this problem. What Hauppauge driver version are you using?

On the hardware side of things, I think we both have Nvidia 410/430 Geforce 6100/6150? any other users with Hauppauge 150 that can confirm this?

As you noticed, killing MP helps a bit, I use PVR scheduler, but still BSODs.

Hi diehard, I will post logs next time this happens (have you seen my debug report?).

Concerning reproduction of the bug: It is certain to BSOD when I try to exit MP, after TV is blank (black screen, can't initialize?). But BSOD can also occur even though TV is functional, but crash is not certain then.

    Hello, Eloo...
Well it looks like you have a new member in your bug club!! :)

I updated my drivers recently from "pvr150_500_basedriver_2043_24103" to "WinTV-PVR-150500MCE_2.0.48.24227 (WHQL)" (huge TV quality difference by the way ;)
As i said, and i can confirm that the issues that you explain very well on your post is exactly what happens to me, with or without TV black screen (can't initialize?)

Could you explain me how to get the error log after the crash, so that i can also post it here...?

    Thanks

Hi eloo, the bad news is that there is nothing obvious in the logs. It is quite difficult these days for software to cause a BSOD. The only thing in MP that I can think of that might cause this, would be the VMR9 exlcusive mode. You can shut this off under "filter control" in the config. Please let me know if that changes anything.
