    Hi,
Joce, try to disable "Use separate thread to render the GUI" in MP Setup(Configuration.exe) -> General & "Use separate thread to render the GUI" (@ bottom on the list) & then try again.

    Regards
    Roy

The trick did not work. Problem is still there. I have managed to capture a more detailed mediaportallog file and I have attached it to this post. Can someone have a look at it and tell me what is wrong ?
    Thanks
    Joce

damn seems like I have the problem again.....
    I talked too early...
recording on ss2 stops after a few minutes instead of entire recording....
    I'm using svn MediaPortal-svn--12-19-2006--01-02-Rev12246.exe
If I use the other card (asus dual dvb-t part) I don't have this problem.
I attach logs in wich the recording started fine and then stops after about 10 minutes of recording (5 pre + 5 rec) instead of 5 pre + 30 + 29 post....

    bavarian please help us....

    bye

    Hi ammm,

it looks like in the log that you didi not disable the seperate thread for the GUI.

2006-12-17 01.23.08.828125 [Info.][MPMain]: GraphicContext: using separate thread for GUI rendering

Please disable it and your problems are solved ;)

    Hi Bavarian,
I disabled the option in my config and the problem remains.... Sorry but it does not look like it comes from that reason...at least with my config.

    Hi Joce,

you are right your problem is a little bit different to th one from ammm.
Can you please delete all files which starts with "packedgfx" in your skin directory and also all files in the fonts directory.
Then try it again (with disabled GUI thread) and when it is not running please post the logs again.

    skin problem????
it seems like (but I'm not sure) that the problem went back when I installed the xmas skin.
I' ve tryed to delete it, applayed the latest svn, but the problem was still there...

Tonight I'll try to disable "GraphicContext: using separate thread for GUI rendering" and I'll let you know...

    thanks a lot

    Hey Bavarian! Works again!!!
I've tryed to disable using separate thread for GUI rendering, but it wasn't working, than I deleted packedgfx files and fonts and magically now works great!
