I'm currently using svn--05-30-2007--01-02-Rev14754 and in my music, now playing it will show the tag data for the first song played in a folder, then when it moves to the next song, the tag data is not shown(read?) and it just shows the filename. This has been present for a little while I think as I had the same problem a few SVN's ago.

Are the songs you play in your Music Database?
    Are they tagged correctly?

SVN14713 from 26/05 shoud have fixed that.
We read the tag from the file.

When there are no Tags in a file, the TagReader returns the filename only.
Looks to me that this is the case.

Thanks for your very fast response, it is much appreciated.

Yes and from shares too. All tagged properly and the tags look fine in Winamp. They were working properly before.

I will install the latest SVN and see what happens.

It's back again! I don't understand as it was fine when I installed the new SVN, but now it's not displaying the tags when it switches to the next song.
If I go back to the list of files then go to Now Playing the tags are shown fine until it switches song and then it uses the file name.
This is from either music in the database of files on a share. All with correct tagging.
    Help!

    Hi Eddy

Which media type are the songs that are giving you problems, MP3? Which tag-detail are you talking about, Artist, Title and what else? I use MyMusic and NowPlaying a lot and have not experiencing any problems with tags. Upload a screen-shot and I will test it on my side to see if I can replicate your problem.

    Cheers

Thanks for the reply. Oggs and mp3s. None of the tag data is shown and it just shows the file name. I will take some shots tonight.

Better than a screenshot would be mediaportal.log and error.log

    Thanks for the replies guys.
Here goes. I tried an ogg album, then an MP3 album.
Logs and screenshots should be attached
