Well the logs don't have anything in it.
Could you please set the Log Level to Debug in Configuration -> General and run it again?
    Maybe i see more then.

Yes, right. Didn't see too much in the log.
What i've noticed is that the Tagreader is never called, which means we try to retrieven all information from the database.

could be that the database information isn't correct.
you could try to rescan your collection to build up the db.
don't know if you did that already.

    Hi

I've tried all the different configurations under Music-Setup (switching things on/off, changing the BASE and Internal engine etc), but cant replicate your problem. If re-scanning your database inside MP does not work, try doing it in the MP-Setup application. I have found that sometimes rescanning inside MP don’t always pick up all my changes.

    Cheers

    Hi Eddy5,

Your log file says your using foobar as external player:

    Code:
    2007-06-13 19:05:31.812500 [Info.][MPMain]: ExternalPlayers: Started foobar2000 with /hide /command:"Playback/Order/Default"

Is there any difference if you disable the foobar plugin and use BASS instead?

    Regards,
    Jan

I would guess yes, as I get this currently. I have gone back to WinAMP ASIO and I only get a pretty first track too.

Hey, that's the issue. I went back to the BASS engine and it's fine. However I can't use BASS with ASIO on my Audiophile 2496 as it crashes MP when I try and change to a different track. Moo. So I've gone back to foobar as it seems to be the most stable implementation of ASIO for my system (Winamp crashes too).
So is there something wrong with how MP uses foobar?

the g_player.OnStarted() should be fixed. the media type is now set to Music.

Confirmed fixed for me in 14987. Massive thanks as always to you hwahrmann and thanks to mparting for finding the exact bit of code.
