Well you're in the right thread at least. Read very carefully the first post for the instructions to do after getting the initial install of MP 1.3 completed. Then, refer to This Post for more information, specifically the version of the files needed for using cablecards in 1.3 Final.I'm brand new to MediaPortal. Can anyone tell me what I need to do?
Forgive me, I was not aware the Windows Home Server 2001 was x64 only. In that case, no we have not yet been able to correctly unlock the tuners in x64 mode, though work on that end continues. There was a mention of a registry hack someone on another thread found that did something, but I'm not sure to what end that did anything. So, as it stands, is there a solution for x64 setups? Not yet.WHS2011 is 64 bit only. Can I install MediaPortal 1.3 and the CableCard patch on WHS2011?
I'm definitely alive and kicking, though I did take a break over the early part of the year as I was really stressed and running on empty. Right now I'm back and working hard on this thing!I will volunteer my time and money for testing/debugging once mm (the developer) returns. I am tired of paying my cable company hundreds a year to 'rent' their hardware when a cableCARD only costs 2$/month.
If mm1352000 returns with further progress I will donate 100$ to him for his hard work. Just a simple "hello, i'm alive and well" from him and i'll gladly donate 20$.
