    diehard2: Thanks for taking care of us poor analogue-watchers. I can be wrong but for me quality control seems to work (but I use the workaround to set quality to high and change the bitrate as desired there).

    My Trace for PVR 150MCE:

    Starting Trace
    Connected to KSPropertySet
    Can get driver Info
    Succeeded - Driver version - = 2
    Dwreturned = 24

    Hi,

    does also crash on my PVR 150 (driver: 2.0.43.24108). Win XP Home German

    Starting Trace
    Connected to KSPropertySet
    Can get driver Info
    Succeeded - Driver version - = 2
    Dwreturned = 24


    no crash on my PVR 350 (driver 1.18.21.23257)
    but does not seem to work:

    Starting Trace
    Connected to KSPropertySet
    Couldn't get driver info
    DirectX Error - ERROR_SET_NOT_FOUND & E_PROP_SET_UNSUPPORTED The specified property set is not supported.

    just updated my PVR 150 drivers to the latest (2.0.48.24258).
    No crash anymore.

    Starting Trace

    Can get driver Info
    Succeeded - Driver version - = 2

    what is the workaround exactly?


    Hey diehard2,

    thats a pretty rough workaroud I am using for ages now. I go to setup and set quality always to high. When I want to adjust the quality I change the bitrate of high quality recordings, I never change it to low or medium.
    This works for me pretty well, quality changes do like they should. The only issue then is, that I can not change (or it makes no difference) the quality within MP-GUI. But since I never do that, it's working ok for me...

    Don't know if you understand what I mean? I think we'll meet in IRC anyway...
