unfortuantly some things in the FTR TV plugin that are not as polished as the MP Version, few bugs and change of behaviour like that i dont like

what is the skin you use? if its steamedMP there are some fixes for the FTR plugin that are not available in the installer / patch system yet

Not sure if you're asking me or dvbkiwi - I use BleazleWide + the latest Beta version (for testers) of 4TR :) My local version of BleazleWide is more polished than the current version available for downloading but that's the way it goes, it takes time to get a skin ready for release.

I use Black_Glass_Nova at the moment.

Another question on 4TR, Ive read that some people have had problems with the DVB-EPG export between media Portal and 4TR. Has this been sorted. I believe "TheKiwi" had thsi problem previously as well.

In the console, under administration, i had to change TV guide to DVB-EPG overwrites XMLTV, it was opposite by default, i kept getting gaps in my EPG until i changed that.
my EPG was only coming over the air (dvb-s)

Out of interest what things do you find aren't as polished?

Ive gone to the StreamedMP skin as well... and very impressed with their whole approach to maintaining upgrades and allowing configuration vie the editor etc

Yea when I first used 4TR I coludnt get the EPG to populate. Sorry cant recall what the issue was and how it was resolved.

Im only on DVB-S and using the EPG Collector and DVB-S concurrently so:
    * Mediaportal is only configured to grab EPG for the SBS Channels
    * Drop the tvguide.xml from EPG Collector into the 4TR folder for all the Freeview channels
    * 4TR picks up the XML file and immediately imports into 4TR
    * Ive got the option of XMLTV overwrite DVB-EPG in the 4TR Settings

and it works really really well. The SBS Channels all appear OK in the 4TR guide.
