Out of curisosity, what is it with IPv6 that can causes delays?
I don't know for sure. Like I said, maybe DNS; maybe something else. I'm afraid I'm not a network expert. About all I know is that "in the field" people see delays which have been fixed by disabling IPv6.
So this is interesting, disabled ipv6 completely on the domain network... My gaming pc now connects within 3s to the HD channels on an encrypted stream but the lounge dedicated HTPC takes longer. Everything is wired on 100mbit lan... Much better connections are there, just need to play with the HTPC more.

    Vodafone TV and MediaPortal

Hello fellow MP users from NZ. Long time MP user, first time poster...

Has anyone tried and/or had any success with the Vodafone TV service in MediaPortal over UFB? I assume it would be an IPTV (DVB-IP source) service? Be nice to have no satellite or TV aerials stuck to the house... I run a central TV service with HTPC MP clients and works great. I'm about to get UFB connected and want to give it a try and don't want another "box"

    Hello smittg :)

Good questions. Presumably the Sky channel feeds are encrypted in some way or other. There's no way that Sky would allow unencrypted feeds on Vodafone's network. Hence the need for the box. Don't know if the Freeview channels would be unencrypted, or whether they're proper MPEG 2 TS streams or just internet streams.

You might try asking around over at geekzone...

Just updated to 1.7 final and I have noticed an issue when trying to watch TV1 + 1. The load time for this channel is about 10+ seconds when previewing in the tvserver settings. When trying to watch within MP on my server machine the load time is 10+ seconds and on a client machine it pretty much locks up.

Hmmm... Was going to take the opportunity on this cold and wet day to upgrade from 1.6 final, but on the basis above I might just wait. Any word on this mm1352000?

Also, are you using DVB-T or DVB-S?

Looks like incorrect tuning details to me.
You have three tuning details for this channel:
    [2014-04-18 10:48:52,380] [Log ] [21 ] [INFO ] - Controller: channel #1 DVBT:tv:TVNZ TV ONE plus 1 Freq:578000 ONID:8746 TSID:26 SID:1205 PMT:0x71 FTA:True LCN:7 BandWidth:8
    [2014-04-18 10:48:52,390] [Log ] [21 ] [INFO ] - Controller: channel #2 DVBT:tv:TVNZ TV ONE plus 1 Freq:578000 ONID:8746 TSID:28 SID:1205 PMT:0x71 FTA:True LCN:7 BandWidth:8
    [2014-04-18 10:48:52,390] [Log ] [21 ] [INFO ] - Controller: channel #3 DVBT:tv:TVNZ TV ONE plus 1 Freq:578000 ONID:8746 TSID:26 SID:1206 PMT:0x70 FTA:True LCN:6 BandWidth:8

Note the different service IDs and PMT PIDs.
Only the third tuning detail works.
Since you have PMT timeout set to 10 seconds (default), each failed tuning detail + tuner combination attempted will take ~20 seconds.
Two incorrect tuning details x 20 seconds per attempt => delay of 40 seconds.

Solution: simply delete the two incorrect tuning details.

Arrrrrrr I seeeeeeeeeeee, thank you heaps for your help. Deleted incorrect turning details and all is good. 1.7 final is running like a dream now.

@blair_haynes, feel free to upgrade now ;-)

I'm still using 1.6 and a family member noticed a week or 2 ago that the FM radio stations are not working any longer. I think it was working in 1.5. I get a message in the log that the Cyberlink MPEG Muxer filter (mpgmux.ax) not installed. The system cannot find the file specified. Is this file not included with TV Server any longer and I need to find it elsewhere?[DOUBLEPOST=1398652778][/DOUBLEPOST]I did find the file in the Windows\System32 folder and ran a regsvr32 on it which succeeded, but I still get this error...

[ERROR] - Exception :TvLibrary.TvExceptionGraphBuildingFailed: Graph building failed ---> TvLibrary.TvException: Cyberlink MPEG Muxer filter (mpgmux.ax) not installed The system cannot find the file specified. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070002).
