Coina i've tried the DVB-t channels out, but am unable to get anything, I think papakura may be just out of range when i was in England DVB-t was fantastic though, perfect reception using all your old analogue hardware, Since is it just a matter of time until it becomes common here I'd recommend researching now and getting a card soon.

The list covers pretty much all the channels that (I think)

I guess the wiki for now and then we'll see about getting it committed to tvserver once everything is officially launched.

Never been able to get 2 channels working at the same time with my skystar. Whats the trick to it - do I need to enable something, somewhere?

Hi Shacknasty, are you using the TVserver? If not then multiplexing is not supported, otherwise should work as long as channels are on the same transponder e.g. TV3 and C4

I have recently updated my system with a Hauppauge WinTV Nova-S pci card so I can use the system to pick up Freeview by itself (prior to this I had a Freeview decoder hooked up to a PVR150 card) however I have found the pc seems to be struggling with displaying all channels (jerky frame rate after changing channel or no picture for about a minute etc).

Now I'm using the built in built in TV function in Media Portal (v2.3.0) to get Freeview but I noticed alot of you using TVserver.

Does performance improve with using TVserver on the same pc to obtain Freeview? (I've looked at this option but discounted it as I'm not interested in streaming around the house via the wireless)

Or do I need to upgrade my system (ram etc) to make Freeview more functional?

From memory my system specs are

512 DDR ram
2.4 AMD Duron cpu
FX5200 video card

Also I have the Nova-S configured to obtain the EPG from Freeview. Does this function slow the signal down?

Are there any guides out there (I have tried 'Search') for setting up blasting.

I have a Hauppauge Nova-S-Plus (for freeview, and it picks up Sky EPG) and PVR-150 (S-video input for Sky decoder) and a Hauppauge MCE remote and blaster (MS certified - works well in MP).

I am nearing setup completion - it is a long process.

I need to setup the Sky channels in TVServer - I assume I do this manually, telling it to look a svhs-1 in the analog setup tab??

Once I have done this, what do I use to get MP to change the channels on my Sky Box? It would be nice if it were all combined in the Channel Setup tab (but it isn't), so where is it, what do I need?

Im Upto this stage as well (cant find a tutorial anywhere)

I don't have sky so I've not set up blasters before but I'm sure there must be some others here who have?? Come on guys pipe up!

This is what I know of it:

1:Use the MCE learn tool on the startmenu under MediaProtal to learn the commands of your remote.
2.Make sure the plug-in is enabled by selecting the Plugins node and ticking the ServerBlaster plug-in
3.Select your analog for one or both of the blasters.
4.Add analog channels with a source of svhs and with a channel numbers the same as their channel number on the sky box.

In the learn tool you might have to play with the speed setting?

Hope this helps get on the right track, perhaps when someone has a good handle on it and they could update the NZ Wiki ? ;-)
