As a matter of interest i thought i would give one of the older versions a go to see if it would be any better, so i downloaded 16534 as 16539 was not available for download and would you believe it i managed to get it to scan perfectly for all the dvb-s channels and even the analog ones worked as well. so now tv server is working properly on my card after 2 weeks of fiddling around with the newest released versions. Obviously the tsfilesource does not work at the moment with my setup but i am quite happy with this old version of TV Engine to be honest. Now just gota work out how to make the most out of all those extra features

Hey all. I have pulled out my mediaportal and dusted it down getting it ready for when freeview comes out on DVB-T. havn't had a chance to use it in the last couple of years due to moving and things. have searched around fourms and google, but cant find what the deal is with EPG. I used to get it via XMLTVNZ but now it only gets me TV2 and Prime. I'm in welly and get TV1,TV2,TV3,C4,Prime,Maori,Triangle. I found http://nz.ontv.uni.cc/ seems to have listings for most of them (not too detailed tho), but the xml file dosen't load? I thought freeview DVB-S came with EPG? is there a freeview feed somewhere, or any other feed, or a screen scraper that currently works?

hey, sorry confusing you I think :) I have a PVR500 dual tuner analogue reciever at the moment. I probably wont change to a DVB card untill they start full broadcasts (they are only doing test broadcasts at the moment I take it?). My MP is running on a shuttle with only one PCI slot. So I need a way to get the EPG for the channels I can tune into at the moment. I memntion DVB though, becuase if they are transmitting the EPG over DVB now, I thought someone may have made it avaliable online? Oh and no I'm not using TVe3, I just downloaded the latest MP ver (2.3.0) and updated with that. I seen it's release on the front page (Like I said havn't really had time etc to play around for a while now :) but havn't had a chance to read up on it / compare it to the old engine. Cheers

Sorry about that, the comment from handya above

    http://handya.googlepages.com/dvbt.xml
download that and copy it to tuningpermitters, replace the old one with that, then reload media portal (i take it ur using tve3) and go into dvb-t there will be to setings auckland, and all of NZ
    hope this helps

was directed at me asking about dvb-t settings.

The way i currently get epg settings is automatic with the dvb-s broadcasts but i am sure there is a way to set up xmltvnz working in mediaportal for those analogue channels.

The latest version can be found here:
    http://reven.co.nz/
that website also has forums and a section on how to set it up correctly

opps sorry , guess I jumped in head first :) yeah that (xmltvnz) is what i used to use, but as sky encrypts it's listings via flash now, and maybe other factors, it will only give me tv2 and prime :/
