Hi guys Ive got a skystar card and since saturday I am getting no EPG data down from the satellite except for TVNZ6, all others are empty. Is anyone else experiencing this? It was all working fine before that and I hadnt changed anything at the time... Ive since installed the latest RC still the same.... Is this a satellite thing or a problem at my end I wonder? Where is the EPG data so I can delete it and how do I force a re-load of the EPG from the satellite?

Im also using tv3 engine...

Sorry dude but as i am not running satelite atm I can't really help with this one,

I am experiencing some weird guide stuff with tv3 on the xmltvnz guide tho.

Another questions, mcraenz might be the best for this one, I am trying to use your logos for the channels in the guide, but I renamed the channels and combined etc etc but only Prime works - the one i didn't rename. I have tried changing the names of the logos, of the channels in tv server even to match the xmltv file - any ideas?

I've noticed No Data on TV1,2,3,6, but I have data for C4??? Something is going! I'm going to try to do a full refresh EPG
How:
TVServer Config>ManualControl>Refresh EPG
Then wait! it's seem to work quicker if you don't watch TV while doing it also you can see what is happening if you look in the epg.log file.

I'll yet you know how I get on (and if I get any Guide data back at all!)

The pictures stored in:
c:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Thumbs\tv\Logos
as long as the file name is exactly the same as the channel name then it should work

Hi all,

Well I have everything up and running pretty well now. One thing though is skipping past adds on recorded TV. I can use fwd but it just pixilates and I cant see when to stop. I have also used the arrow keys but this causes it to freaze up and stutter and splutter.

I have read a little about comskip and just want to see if anyone here is using this with TV3 and MP and if so is it any good? I dont need to remove adds I just want to mark them for skipping.

Yeah I've been using comskip pretty successfully. It just marks the adds, and then you can use the skip chapter button on the remote to skip to the next segment of TV. it works most of the time. I it will be good when the osd timeline show where the ads are so that when your skipping you can see that you havn't skipped over too much.

Strange problem with your fastforwarding though?? What codec are you using? is that happening on the server PC or on a networked client? Are you using tsreader?

BTW I did a refresh EPG and it didn't want to grab the EPG then I restarted the service and it all started working again and the full epg came back for all channels

I am using single seat - it may be due to the ffdshow postprocessing???

I have created a useTsReader.txt but how do I tell that its using it or not? from reading the forums I should now use myvideos instead of mytv - is that right? I'm not really clear on exactly how this works, you can probably tell!

Do you get the pixelation even when you don't have the useTsReader.txt? What ffdshow postprocessing are you using?

yeah I get it with both - I'm using sharpen and resize.

I'm still using mytv is that correct with tsreader? how do I tell if its using tsreader?
