The easiest way i got all extensions + codecs working was install CCCP (google it), disable H264 and AAC in installer, untick any media players you dont want, then register* the Cyberlink H264 drivers. That registers all file extensions and sorts out pretty much all codecs.
CCCP includes FFDshow also. Make sure you remove that if you already have it and any other codec packs.

*i installed it but imo its bloated as a program so i removed it, any idea if hardware acceleration will still work if the codecs are registered by themselves? (.ax and .dlls))

So if one was to buy a DVB-T decoder, which would you guys recommend?

I'm assuming you meant tuner card, not decoding software. This card au-Review was pointed out to me by mcraenz & I've bought it on this review. It has dual DVB-T/analogue tuners (only 1+1: not 2+2), & it's PCI-E; not just PCI. Unable to verify any qualifications as yet as I'm being forced to wait for my CPU: MAD BE-2350  that should have been AMD BE-2350

In case I got it wrong; after re-reading the last couple of pages, depends on how much you're willing to spend. From US$15 for CoreAVC to over US$100 for a complete suite like PowerDVD 7 Ultra. See here H.264 Codecs: What Options Are Out There?

    Hi
Just wondering if anyone has any issues with TV3 when its in HD? It runs fine for me for about 5 - 10 mins then freezes in a 1sec loop but the sound keeps going. There is also the odd mini stutter.
I'm running a 8500GT with PowerDVD codecs. Seems to run sweet on all other channels. Any ideas? Have there been many updates in the SVN lately as Im on a mid March SVN currently.

i found that the power dvd codecs had a low frame rate, with my card, so i got a new card that has PureVideo HD, an h.264 chip. i have no probems/other than pausing.

Okay, my turn, now. How the hell do you get XMLTVNZ working in MP2.3.0?

I have just turned my MP client machine temporarily into my main unit (until I can get my main HTPC unit upgraded to freeview) & installed my 150MCE card into it. I went to turn on the XMLTV plugin & it ain't bloody-well there. Some plugin called WebEPG is the only option. I have tried reading the docs on it but I only have sources/webpages for Prime, TV1 & 2 available.

There is no reference on how to add channels/TV websites into it. Is there any dumbed-down doco on how to do it around, because I can't find it: but that don't mean nothing  Thanks.
