Thanks all - I've decided to give the DVI-HDMI cable a go for now so I'll let you know if it makes any difference...

im doing the same thing, @ first i would only get now and next but then aftar abit the full epg went in (when it had grabed it from dvbs). some times it requires tuning to a dvb-s channel preferably on the same transponder.

edit:
PS Your not combining TV3 DVBT with Freeview TV3 DVB-S and letting the card priority take care of things are you?

yes i have combined dvb-t and dvb-s tv3 and other channels, i now have full epg when watching dvb-t :)

Does this work? I have combined my DVB-T and DVB-S Freeview channels and I get the now\next data. do I just have to wait a while for the DVB-S data to fill in?

EDIT: Forget it - I got it working.

I basically just ticked everything in the EPG settings and set it to grab every 60min. I wonder ifits to do with the "always fill holes" setting?

You will either need to wait for the next build, or if oy uhave visual studio you can SVN the sources and compile for your self.

Bleazle, the zoom option you should use is normal, not original. DVB-S is 720x576 so your video card is doing exactly what it has been asked to do, i.e. it is showing the 720x576 picture pixel for pixel on your screen. Most likely your panel has a larger resoultion than that (what is its native resolution? 1360x768?) and therefore 720x576will never fill the creen in original mode. This is also evident with avi files etc. You could use ffdshow as a renderer and get it to upscale to your panels resolution but this is fairly cpu intensive, best left to the grahics card in my case.

Thanks for the input :) My screen is Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) so I see what you're saying with regard to the Freeview signal not filling up the screen without zooming in on it. I had figured that was the case (but it's good to have it confirmed) which is why I was asking if there was a graphics card that could upscale the image to 1080p (and would the resulting image be any better than using the zoom modes in MP anyway?). The picture I get is excellent but I guess since the system is stable and I've got nothing to tinker with I was tempted to start playing with things again - probably not a good idea.. :D

Half the analogue channels missing in scan

    Hi all,

To get Prime using TV3 I have always scanned with the settings Country=New Zealand, Source-Cable.... and I used to get approx. 320 channels (freq ??) scanned, with Prime being Channel number 316.

During my recent upgrade over the weekend, TV3 now only scans up to Channel number 158! To get Prime I need to edit another channel (like 91) and change it's ID to 316. Everything works ok but it's strange that it would suddenly behave like this.

Has anyone else seen this behaviour? It's happened with SVN 18566 and 18584... both installed onto a fresh WinXP install.

    Cheers.
