You need to use EVR not VMR9 or Overlay etc...

Also note it must be the ultra deluxe version, but is does not need to be registered. (without the key the program doesn't run but other programs can use the codec)

Awesome man! That brings down my CPU usage to less than 10% even when watching the Freeview HD Preview channel.

Nice end to the evening. :) :D

I have upgraded my HTPC to AMD AM2 4800+ for Freewview dVB-T. The issue I have is no matter what I try, I can't get any picture from my DVB-T card (Hauppauge HVR-2200). I f I preview any DVB-T channel within the config, I get sound but just a blank preview screen.

I can setup & get picture on my 150MCE analogue card. When I try a DVB-T channel, the red radio button on watch TV clears & leaves a black screen. I have tried changing to MYSQL as the event log showed a couple of failures using SQL Express 2005. Doesn't matter: same on both servers. I have used the Waiatarua transmitter for the tuning with default cam -I live in Blockhouse Bay. I get full strength signal when tuning.

What else can I try?? Have set everything up for analogue viewing at present. Have not tried the analogue tuners on the 2200 card as yet. Will try soon. Thanks.

It will not tune to the analogue tuners. I had an existing OS install, after my upgrade, which will work with DVB-T on this system so I know it should function correctly. I am doing a reinstall due to other inconsistencies with the original (eg. slow network) OS install. There are no issues inside device manager.

I hope this is appropriate as I thought more Kiwis would see this & they might have a better working knowledge if it is channel-tuner base. Don't see how, but you never know.

    Try this:
Start playing a dvb-t channel then open graphedit and on the file menu click connect to remote graph you should just see 1, connect to it, have a look at the codecs/renderers that are being used.

The connect to remote graph box showed nothing inside it. I may have stuffed up the install -reinstalling codecs etc. I will try again tomorrow as I have other things I also have to do. I appreciated your assistance greatly.
