AW: Can someone help to create a CI Menu for the Terratec Cinergy C HD + CI?

    Heey,

tomorrow is the release date of the new MP version with a lot of improvements and I would be very very happy if you could provide me a patch for this version :p
I could only live 2 days without your patch :D I didn't recognized how often i use this new feature since I got it^^

The best would be if your patch would find his way into SVN^^

    greetings FreakyJ =)

I will happy to provide a patch once 1.2.0b is released. :)

That will certainly happen at some point, but I can't guarantee when that would be. First of all, I have recently found out that this patch is also effective for KNC One cards (see here). For that reason I'm thinking I should integrate this patch with my other work over here, which is a tidy up and improvement of hardware support for TV Server - a lot of work...

Especially the last thread makes me excited :p I saw it already some time ago and I'm really happy that there is so much development concerning the TV-Server ;)
Maybe they will take your work for MP2^^

Hi everyone (and especially FreakyJ :))

I've started a new thread for discussing multidecrypt. Hopefully that will make it easier for other people to find and test the patch and for me to maintain and improve it. We can still come back to the CI menu stuff here if we get new information, however I'd really like to focus on the multidecrypt feature for the moment so that we make sure that it gets included in TV Server as fast as possible.

FreakyJ: I think you should be able to use version A of the patch. Let me know if you have any trouble. Version B should at least be very stable, but version A could perform better if it works. I'd also appreciate it if you could post your *full* CAM information in the new thread. I'm hoping that we can start a "database" of good CAMs to buy...

    Best regards,
    mm

    Any progress on this ?

I would like to help out testing anything on 1.2b for my Cinergy S2 HD with original Canal Digital, Strong CAM here in Norway.

    Hi again Vegard

Not on the CI menu implementation. As I already said to you, Terratec have been extremely unhelpful. If you can hassle them enough to get them to provide an SDK/API for supporting their CI interface then we may be able to make progress quickly...

    Isn´t this a rebadged Azurewave/Twinhan product ?
Maybe we could get some from them. I will do some research.

    regards,
    Vegard

    Hi again

The Cinergy S2 is - a copy of the AD-SP400. The Skystar 2 HD is another clone, but I think they use completely different drivers. There is no reason why the Cinergy C HD couldn't be a copy too. As far as I'm aware Twinhan has gone out of business or been absorbed by their parent company Azurewave. Azurewave doesn't appear to offer any tuner products on their website. We have the Twinhan API/SDK, but it doesn't appear to work for CI menu functions with the Cinergy even though other features work. I think Terratec may have customised their drivers...

I bought the Cinergy S2 HD USB specifically for using with Mediaportal. The Cinergy S2 is the ONLY card in the wiki list that without remarks has a "YES" in every checkbox regarding all these features:

    CI/CAM support
    CI menu support
    Multichannel decoding
    LNB selection
    DisEqc Positioner
    DVB-S2 support

Now.. I have already just begun fiddling with it, but couldn´t get a CI menu to show up. The tab is there though..

Is there any point in continuing the effort.. or will it just not work?
