Re: AW: Can someone help to create a CI Menu for the Terratec Cinergy C HD + CI?

    Hi again

Last post before I go to bed...

I have to thank you for your grate work! ;)

    I can't test it in detail now (TeamViewer --> Home - PC --- .... you know^^), but I could do a littel test :p
No worries. Happy to help in any way I can ;)

You will get a detailed test later when I'm not connected over RDP xD but so far everything looks great :p
Melstig reported issues with multidecrypt with the last version (single channel was fine), so I'll be trying some more things with him tomorrow evening. It will be interesting to see if it works for you. His H7 uses version 1 of the API while your Cinergy uses version 2...

Are you able to test two more CI menu builds with TeamViewer. I'm sorry for asking you to do this. The changes are so small, but they can make a big difference! I wish I had a card of my own with a CI to test - it would make things much easier on you and Melstig.

Here are the two builds. You only need to test the CI menu and decryption of one channel...

No problem, I will try my best over TeamViewer xDD

    Here what I've done:

    1. stopped and replaced everything
    2. tv server config => CI Menu => nothing happend
    3. clicked cancel button
    4. started MP in debug Mode
    5. tuned to a channel (Vox)
    6. closed MP an collected logs

Yeah, If you had your own card everything would be much easier for you... but we will get it and make MP again a bit better :p

    P.S.
The a and b in the file name of the logs belongs to your versions a and b ;)

I saw I forgotten the multydecrypt test, I'm sorry about that...

    I tested version a and b:

Multidecrypt (two channels) works, but the little jitter/glitch in the picture at the point where I started the second channel is still there ...
Also I had one time the message "Kanal verschlüsslet" (channel encrypted) in version a, but the glitch seems to be in version a not so big than in version b, but could be subjective...

Her what I've done (version a):

    1. stopped everything and replaced files
    2. started service an MP (debug mode) again
    3. pressed the Tv button => Tv tuned automatically to a FTA channel (ZDF HD) (I activated start in fullscreen)
    3. tried to tune to RTL (was an mistake) => Message channel encrypted appeared)
    4. tuned to "Prosieben" (worked at the first time)
    5. started recording on "Prosieben" and waited a few seconds
    6. Tuned to "Sat 1" and waited again seome seconds
    7. stopped recording
    8. watched the recording and there was a glitch at the point where I tuned to another channel
    9. closed everything and collected logs.

In version b I did exactly the same (also same channels), except the mistake with "RTL" ;)

Logs attached as every time :p

    Thanks for testing FreakyJ :)

Did you also check multidecrypt from home with the original version that I posted? That one is the important one to check because it has the best chance of solving the glitches. Melstig said it doesn't work for him, but if it works for you then we should use it for API v2 cards and find something else for API v1 cards...

    Hey,

sorry I thought the versions a and b are basically the same as the other "old" version, but I will check it later when I'm at home, because over TeamViewer the Tv is lagging anyway so I would give you a false report =)

so here are the logs from the "old" version which I promised, I did the following:

    1. stopped & replaced everything
    2. started Tv Service and MP in debug mode
    3. clicked the Tv button and tuned to ProSieben (needed two tries in the earlier log to tune to ProSieben)
    4. started recording ProSieben and waited a view seconds
    5. tuned to Sat1 => worked & waited again a view seconds
    6. stopped recording & watched it => at the point where I switched to Sat1 there is a glitch/jitter again, but after that jitter/glitch everything was fine again (recoding continued) => multidecrypt works =)
    7. closed MP and collected logs

If you would like to have the little recording I can provide it to you, it is around 31MB ;)

    Logs attached =)

The two logs are basically the same, here the difference:

In the earlier logs I had the Message again "channel encrypted" (Kanal verschlüsselt), but at the second try I could tune to ProSieben (step 3 above) and the little recording I offered to you above is from the second try (older logs).

I hope I explained it probably xD If not, feel free to ask :p

    Edit:
But can the glitches connected to an overload of the HDD, so that the TsWriter drops packages? Because I read in another thread that MP make many IOs... But maybe not, because if it would be an overload of the HDD the glitches would be more often... what is your opinion on that?

a little info by the way:
I'm already using the "old" 1.6 version the whole evening and there are so far no problems ;) Okay I'm just using single channel decryption, but I think it is good to know that you are on the right way^^

Thanks for the extra testing :)

I've been really busy and have not had a chance to do anything with Melstig yet. That will have to wait until next week. I haven't had the chance to look at your logs either (have to go in 5 minutes) but if the glitching still occurs with version 1.6 then I think there is nothing we can do about it. I included the best possible instructions to the CAM in that version, and it looks like the CAM still interrupts the decryption of other channels when it adds a new channel to its decryption list. Having said that, you could be right about the HDD issues. Could you please upload a sample recording showing the glitch. I will try to analyse the recording during the glitch to see if packets are lost/dropped or are encrypted.

    Got to run...

No problem, take your time, real life is much more important, we aren't in a hurry^^ It is a hobby and we should have fun doing it =)

I'm currently uploading the short recording, I will send you the link by PM ;) And don't be confused by the content, I used two channels (Pro7/Sat1) from which I know that they are on the same transponder, we call it "Hatz IV Tv"^^ The glitch is at second 11 ;)

I'm sure you did your best, and you still already improved it a lot: from not working to working with a little glitch in the picture, I think we can accept it :p

Ahh another thing comes to my mind: Due to my personal opinion the glitch in version 1.6 is smaller than in a previous version, but another strange thing is that the glitches aren't the same strength all the time, sometimes it is just a little one, sometimes it is a more heavy one...

As always if you need any extra information or files just let me know ;)

    Edit:
Maybe we could test at the end a combination of the stuttering fix (which reduces the IO operations) and your CAM/multidecrypt fix =)
