Guys, horribly out of date: F3 in MediaPortal 1 just gives a menu, not a refresh.

I'm stuck.

I got Windows 10 and there's not Media Center so I'm trying MP.

MP2: Never can get my HD Homerun Prime queried...always out of band is locked and I've done the required firewall opennings for it. It's gone, I won't reinstall.

MP1: I can get my Prime queried for all channels just fine. I got xmltv and got tvguide.xml and it's ingested in xmltv's mapping tab load's pretty well. So after that, I'm supposed to wait but over a day and nothing loads in the guide.

Is there still a 'refresh guide" option somewhere? F3 is not it anymore.

    what software are you using to generate your tvguide.xml file? if it is mc2xml, what version are you using? (v1.3 or donator)

    could you upload your tv server log files (make a zip) in the following folder so we can see what is causing problems
    C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\log

    have you looked at the xmltv setup guide?

    BTW, I get 969 channels imported from tvguide.xml but I also get zero programs imported.[DOUBLEPOST=1438222530][/DOUBLEPOST]I'm using mc2xml 1.3

    TV server log is zipped with top 4 files.

    Thank you!

    with mc2xml v1.3 I assume you are using the legacy service that m$oft has discontinued. You will either need to get the mc2xml/donator version, or use Schedules Direct ($25/yr) with the SD-plugin, or use the SD account with mc2xml/v1.3

    the mc2xml download page has some info about the changes http://mc2xml.hosterbox.net/ lots of unhappiness with m$oft WMC/guide changes over the last 1-2 week

    one more question, in the xmltv > mappings page, you mapped at least some of your channels?

    Yes, I mapped 75% of the channels that were brought in. Killed all the Unknowns in the channel listings.

    I just went with 1 year of Schedules Direct service. When I'm home I'll try that option on mc2xml 1.3 and see if programs are populated.

    Do you think the issue is 0 programs updated when I pulled in the tvguide.xml under 1.3 Windows legacy?

    the download still runs, but the actual EPG data ends around July 25 or so, I just did a legacy download for my local OTA/antenna stations and got a small 130+ channel tvguide.xml file, only 44MB, 980000+lines of xml. Edit with notepad++ and search for the 11PM news of a local CBS/KPIX

    search from top for KPIX 5 News at 11pm shows
    start="20150712230000 -0700" stop="20150712233000, start = 2015/07/12 23:00
    search up from bottom
    start="20150725230000 -0700" stop="20150725233500, start = 2015/07/25 23:00

    so MP xmltv import finds nothing in tvguide.xml for July 30 or later, nothing to import

    I just changed to schedules direct and put in my zip code and my tv provider (FIOS) and then de-selected channels I wouldn't watch.

    Then went to mc2xml and put in credentials and ran it. Got a 68,986s KB tvguide.xml file..

    It has programmes in it in thie XML format:

    <programme start="20150801033600 -0400" stop="20150801040400 -0400" channel="I187.46762.schedulesdirect.org">
    <title lang="en">The Facts of Life</title>
    <sub-title lang="en">Mind Your Own Business</sub-title>
    <desc lang="en">Blair peeks into Natalies diary.</desc>
    <credits>
    <actor>Charlotte Rae</actor>
    <actor>Lisa Whelchel</actor>
    <actor>Kim Fields</actor>
    <actor>Mindy Cohn</actor>
    <actor>Nancy McKeon</actor>
    </credits>
    <date>19820324</date>
    <category lang="en">Series</category>
    <category lang="en">Sitcom</category>
    <episode-num system="onscreen">321</episode-num>
    <episode-num system="dd_progid">EP00001529.0050</episode-num>
    <audio>
    <stereo>stereo</stereo>
    </audio>
    <previously-shown start="19820324000000" />
    <rating system="VCHIP">
    <value>TV-G</value>
    </rating>
    </programme>

    Went to TV setup and did an import and got 487 channels but also: tvguide.xml: No programs found.

    Checked my logs and these are repetitive errors when trying to import programs:

    [2015-07-30 18:24:58,075] [Log ] [SetupTv ] [DEBUG] - xmltvimport: Reading TV programs
    [2015-07-30 18:24:58,094] [Log ] [SetupTv ] [INFO ] - XMLTVImport::CorrectEpisodeNum, could not parse 'M868' as plain number

    [2015-07-30 18:24:58,116] [Log ] [SetupTv ] [INFO ] - XMLTVImport::CorrectEpisodeNum, could not parse 'S621' as plain number

    In the tvguilde.xml I see these lines in each program xml block:

    <episode-num system="onscreen">DV1411</episode-num>

    Hence the reader for the tvguide.xml expects just plain number in place of DV1411

    Posting my tvguide.xml and tvsetup log for inspection.

    Please help... I paying for TV now that I cannot watch.

    You have to map the channels now, then hit import again after you've saved the mapping.
    Yes, you have to remap because you changed to a different provider (MS legacy vs. SD), and the different provider uses different channel names and identifiers.

    OK, thanks mm1352000, I did the mappings and saved, and now importing again...it's running for awhile so that's a good sign.

    If this works, I'll then move onto channel logos.
