    Hi

If I record or download a brand new Series episode that have just been Aired - How do I deal with this in MPTVSeries?

Problem is, that there is no Series info yet on thetvdb.com, so in MPTvseries GUI I receive a "No match" dialog box when file is picked up by scanner.

Is there any way of removing this popup? (And instead have MPTvseries automatically collect episode info, when it has created on thetvdb.com).

Just consider yourself lucky then, you can be the first person to ADD the show to the 'TheTVdB' website. It's easy, give it a try.

    I know......will do :)

But any way of disabling the popup?

P.S If I choose "skip - Never ask again" - Will info get picked up when thetvdb.com gets populated from me or other user?

Choosing Never ask again will hide the series, but you can unhide it after its in theTVDB.com. I think also we automatically unhide when adding a new episode to a hidden series, not 100% sure on that.

That used to work, but new behaviour on hiding a show is to also enable 'ignore on scan', which currently prevents those new episodes from being added (well they are added, but show remains hidden so you never know)

Problem for me is - My aired recordings/downloads is fully automatically picked up by MyTVseries on an hourly basis.

But almost every new episode has not yet been created on thetvdb.com - Of course I will create new episodes - But it leave me with 2 issues.

I have to create every single episode manually when it is being picked up - or I could create future non-aired episodes to ease the creation process.(But don't know what episode is last in season!)

Secondly I am the only one in the family able to do so. - I will NEVER get my girlfriend to create new episodes - And she will watch tv-series more than me - So she will definitely get annoyed by the many "No match" popups - And it will keep poping up every time there is a new episode - And it will prompt you for ALL non-matched episodes...........

Any way of solving this? I would personally prefer to disable the popup, create database entry, and just have Mytvseries pick up thetvdb.com info, when is has been populated.

You dont have to create the episodes for the importer to pick them up...only Series need to exist. If no episode details are online then we just show no details.

Yes - but I still get a popup from GUI, everytime a new episode has been scanned - And then it also prompts me for all existing "no matched" as well - forcing me to skip every single non-matched episode on my harddrive.

Then you have other problems going on.

I got many series whos season/episode order is way out of whack compared to thetvdb.com entries and they are still shown fine as "Episode xxx" entries. Pawn Stars for example for me is on Season 4, Episode 47, whereas TheTVdB is on S02E108 (stoopid admins sometimes, because TVRage.com has that show correct and so does Wikipedia), but it still works fine for me.

I loose the proper trakt reference, but I never get any popup when they are imported. Only when I go to the config wizard, do they show up with a "No Match", but I can just skip past them with next.

Did you maybe forget to make a Season entry for your new show? Might relate to that, though as far as I know series entry is all that is needed.

The only way I can see it prompting for a series match is if the parsed name is different all the time...as long as the filename parses as existing series in your database then it should just add the raw episodes to the database without any prompts...I suspect your file naming is not right.
