Cannot tune Winfast DTV2000DS (1 Viewer)

Hi Guys,

has anyone got the Leadtech DTV2000ds dual digital card working with MP 1.1.0.0.

Whilst my DTV1000-S card works like a dream, the DTV2000DS will not tune in the channels.

MP can see the card and lists it ok, but does not find any channels when a scan is run.

The DTV2000DS works fine in WMC, leadtechs PVR2, and Totalmedia programs, but these programs are limited in functionality.

WMC has no EPG here in Australia, so that's useless
Total Media will not run two overlapping recordngs - so that's useless
PVR2 only records in MPG - so can't run Lifextender (Comskip) on that, so that's useless.

Any ideas??????

Here's the log files,

I don't pretend to understand anything in them but there are lines about the BDA filter not being correct. Maybe this is a simple set up issue??

Any way, if you are able to help me out with htis I would be very gratefull - MP is by far the best Media Program I have come across.

thanks for replying to my problem.

I'm pretty sure these are the correct logs, I only have one MP set up and I copied these yesterday just after booting the system and they had the correct date on them - I can make some new ones tonight after work just to be sure.

I just checked the TV server setup for the listed cards, this is what is shown in the setp screen:

Media Portal Webstream card
MP IPTV source Filter
Winfast DTV1000 S BDA DTV Tuner
AF9015 BDA Filter
AF9015 BDA Filter (1)

I'm assuming the AF9015 entries are the 2 tuners on the DTV2000ds card.

The other programs can tune these cards ok, so I'm a little mystified.

I just done a quick google on the AF9015 and it seems to be made by a different manufacturer - possible KWorld, which explains why there are no drivers listed on the Leadtek website.
I used the drivers that came on the Leadtek disk, but search for updated frivers for the card did not turn up anything, I will do a search tonight after work to see if there are any newer drivers under the AF9015 BDA - perhaps this might be the problem??

Hi, did you ever work this out as i seem to have same problem with dual pci PEAK card ( also AF9015 ) . The dual tuners are detected ok but a scan never finds any channels, tried a heap of different drivers to no avail.

Have attached the tv.log ( is this correct log as im only getting as far as attempting to tune from 'Tv Server Config' app with this card)

I never did find an answer and have since given up on recording TV with Media Portal, I am now using the PVR2 program which came with the Leadtek card - it is very good for recording TV but not for playback so I use MP for that or one of the many other programs I have tried - BTW every other program I have can use this card no probs, even WMC.

If you ever do find an answer please post it as I would love to have one Program that does everything - and apart from the problems with this card MP is still the best by far.

BTW, WMC will give you broadcasted EPG which is good enough for scheduling recordings (if that's what you were after).

Hi guys,

Not sure what version of drivers you're running - you could try the Leadtek help site (http://www.lhsite.hu) as they often have updated or beta drivers available for download .... you may find one on there that gets your card working with MediaPortal.
