Cant find Channel 4 HD (UK) (1 Viewer)

Hi all.

Just setting up my tv server. I have the Hauppage DVBS2 card and all channels appear to have been found and are working with the exception of channel 4 HD.

All other channel 4 variations are found, but I cant find channel 4 HD anywhere in the Channel list when sorted by name.

Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Try the update satellite tuning details button then rescan. I think it might be on a new transponder

Thanks, I tried that but no further forward.

I have noticed that I also dont get BBC Three. I have done a manual scan, but it just says 0 New 6 Updated.

How do I check which 6 channels that were originally found?

I have also manually added the channel (BBC Three) with all the information, but when I try to tune to the channel it says "no PMT found".

AHA maybe the BBC Three problem is because it is only broadcast after 7PM? I will try rescanning after 7 and let you guys know.

As for the channel 4 HD I am still stumped!

Ok worked this one out!

I was previously using Windows Media Center 7 with my Hauppage dvbs/2 card.
To enable DVBS2 channels, you need to run this patch

This edits some registry values to force windows into using DVBS2 on certain frequencies. Channel 4 HD has just recently moved and is no longer DVBS/2, so these registry settings where wrong now.

I manually deleted the registry settings, rebooted and now doing a manual scan has picked up Channel 4 HD

Thanks Gareth for letting us know about the patch, that will screwup quite a few people in the future if they leave M$ MCE
