Hi i need some help with getting MP to find the recently changed frequency for TV2 Norge.
On DVB-C Canal digital.
I think i've tried everything, rescan, manualscan, even editing the frequency manuelly.
Nothing seems to help. The scanning will just find the old tv2.

Please help me :)

Did you find a solution for this? I have the same problem with FloppyDTV S2 and MediaPortal 1.1.0 RC1. Reading a post at AVforum.no (Norwegian site) and the other posts in thread I get an impression that the problem is that MediaPortal finds the new frequency for TV2, but then it finds the same channel with the exact same spelling/spacing (you've maybe seen how e.g. TV Norge changes names between 'TV Norge' and 'TVNorge') in a frequency it scans afterwards.

I thought I solved this by doing a 'advanced tuning' in the TV Server configuration on one single transponder on the frequency 322000. I was sure I saw that I had TV2 okay last night, but today it's the same screen on TV2 saying that I have to to a channel scan (guess I was too tired when I did this last night).

Hi
First of, i think you are right: Mediaportal finds the new channel, but also the old channel, and the name confusion makes it save the old channel...

I also saw that post at avforum, and i tried to make one singel channelscan on that frequency, but i cant seem to make mediaportal just scan one transponder/frequency. Whatever settings i set MP scans the whole range. Therefore i always end up with the old TV2. Not good for waf! So right now i'm using firedtv wiever....

So no i havent figured this one out yet, let me know if you find a solution :)

The WAF is important when it comes to htpc. :) I solved the problem now by scanning for one single transponder with freq. 11247000, polarization LinearV, symbol rate 24500 and modulation Mod8Psk in MP 1.1.0 RC1.

But you have 1.0.2, so you might want to try out the tip at AVforum.no or just wait as also suggested in this other thread.

Hi Roy

Thanks for the post of youre solution, maybe i'll try the 1.1.0 RC1 since i've got some other issues aswell. I'll do a clean install when i find the time...

Do you think the release canditate is stable? I'm a bit sceptic to release candidates ;)

I've also done some digging in the forums, and stubled upon this post :

"Hi.
SVN: click here
I'm using REV 24669 (from 2010/8/1) as this Version is rock solid and lightning fast on my Win 7 x64 System...
Both newer versions didn't run that stable (on my system).

You can install the SVN snapshots just over an existing MePo 1.1 Beta installation. The installer will keep your current settings and create a backup for you so you can switch back easily..."

Tempting...:)

Excellent! :)

You should be sceptic. :) But the RC1 is pretty stable. At least more stable than the versions I've run since 2006. I got back my belief in MP after I installed it. I just got a new htpc running Win7x64 so now MP is up and ready in about 35 seconds. Though, I do have some issues with the remote (SL-6399) stopping to respond and MP minimizing itself while watching recorded tv. So if it ain't broken, don't fix it. :)
