ok, you need to disable the MCE Remote support in MediaPortal configuration. Under the Remotes section.

The built in support will interfere with the Input Service.

Also, make sure you've configured the MP Control Plugin.

Once you've done that it should work, but if it doesn't then load mediaportal, press a few buttons and then send me the new logs.

    Cheers,

    Hi Aaron,

Ok, I can post again. I changed my email address and it was awaiting confirmation.
I removed the check in the remotes. I notice that some of the buttons are working.
The arrow and OK button do not work. It could be that it has been this way before, since I only tested the arrow keys.
If I push the green button a window with Multi Mapping on top and MPControlPlugin in the box, but nothing happens.

You state above to make sure I configured the MP Control Plugin. How much needs to be configured?
I have read the documentation, which is very rich and well made, but I cannot see a guide to install.
    Sorry for being lame.

    Thanks,
    Rick

    Got it!! It does work.
I wonder why there are a lot of buttons configured by default, but not the arrow buttons or the ok button.

Next, I need to figure out how to launch my Sling Player and other players in My Programs and use the remote.

    Thanks,
    Rick

Try clearing the button list on the first configuration screen for MP Control Plugin (click "Clear All") and then select from the drop down list "Microsoft MCE (Full)" and click "Add Remote".

This will make all the buttons work.

Once you've done that you should be ok. Let me know if that gets it all sorted out for you.

    Cheers,
