When I go to preview a channel using the TV server config tool, I get "unknown error preview failed" message. If I go into mediaportal and try to watch TV I get a different error message, "unable to start time shifting" This is all very strange because, if I install power cinema 5, everything in mediaportal works perfectly. If i uninstall powercinema, at breaks and stop working, throwing the errors as described above. So you know, I have been using powercinema on my htpc but want to change over to mediaportal. It seems like it maybe a codec problem. I have tried various codec backs but no luck. I have installed mediaportal with a clean install, nothing else on the system except the recomended codecs but nothing. I really do not want to go back to poercinema, so if anyone can shed some light on what I am missing, I would be most grateful.</p><p> </p><p>when i look at the log files this is what I see:</p><p> </p><p>tv log file: no audio encode found. you must install a compatiable audio encoder</p><p>tvserver error: no audio decompressor loaded</p><p> </p><p>please, anyone who can tell me what to do<img src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7" class="smilie smilie--sprite smilie--sprite1" alt=":)" title="Smile :)" loading="lazy" data-shortname=":)" /> I am sure that it is just a tick box somewhere.</p></blockquote><p></p>
