Software analogue cards have been dropped, dvb cards are still there dont worry :) (digital cards are considered software because dvb stream is already in mpeg2 form and so doesnt need an encoder)

The software cards were dropped, but if you open up CaptureCardDefinitions.xml and remove the from around the General S/W Encoder Card entry, you can still use your software card. I'm not sure if they just no longer want to support them or not, but I removed the remarks, and my ATI TV Wonder Pro works great in the latest CVS.

I also have a PVR 150 and it is doing the same thing as of the 11/11/05 build. I noticed in the change log that the changed the way the TV works by putting it in it's own thread to make it run faster, I'm not sure if that's what broke it or not, but the CVS's from before 11/11 work fine for me.

It seems like I'm not familiar with the way you call all that stuff. What is a "software card"? Is that a budget DVB card with no hardware decoder, or is it an analogue TV card, nothing with DVB?

If you're all talking about analogue cards being dropped, I think this bug report doesn't apply to me with my DVB-S card, does it?

Oh yes, I do have a problem. I can see no picture in MP. ;) Other apps work at least a little more.

Why do you want to encode data to MPEG2? I thought the DVB MPEG2 data needs to be _decoded_ to view it? My PC monitor has no MPEG decoder built-in.

I replied to another question related to this.

Does this answer apply to you?

I've had the same problem, although my FlyDVB-T card in another box still works perfectly.

Anyhow, the reason the TechnoTrend / Hauppauge DVB-T card doesn't work is because a new Interop.TunerLib.dll file with date 21/11/2005 has been updated into the CVS.

You need to copy the old Interop.TunerLib.dll dated 01/01/2005 from the original distibution into your MediaPortal directory...

Once done the technotrend will work again

hey Andy that trick works for me with the LR6650 dvb-t card. Thanks, I was giving me grief.

Does anyone know whats caused this Black screen issue? Whether I've messed up somewhere or if it's a cvs fault?

    I had the same problem.

But after reinstall drivers of my card MP works again with latest CVS(s)

my card = Technisat CableStar 2

I saw in technisat doc that : "you have to reinstall drivers when you install a new directx version". Maybe It's the same case with .NET 2.0 install

I've got similar issues. With the recent CVS versions Mediacentre just 'hangs' / locks up (no CPU usage in taskmanager, uses 50+ mb memory though) whenever I try to go to the MyTV. Playing recorded shows that are still on the drive works OK (I access them through MyVideos).

So it isn't that the MyTV interface shows up with no picture, mediaportal just doesn't get that far. It just freezes on the home screen.

Reading the posts here I copied the tvcapture.dll and the interop.tuner.lib (or something).dll from my last working backup, and replaced them in the freshly new installed mediaportal. MyTV now works! The latest CVS i tried is 11-27-2005--14-07.

Of course I have the mozilla ActiveX control and .NET framework 2.0 installed.

Is this something that's explainable? Work on the new TV engine?
