MPA/MPV worked

it seems to be the video codec that is failing. as if I put it back to ffdshow it stops again.

it seems to be the video codec that is failing. as if I put it back to ffdshow it stops again.

That's because FFDShow is not a good mpeg2 codec, and is locked out from being used, this may change in the very near future.

Its only locked out from the TsReader / .ts files, not from DVD playback. Althou I wouldnt recomend ffdshow for DVD playback.

i was using ffdshow in RC1 and it was fine.

And as previously mentioned. Cyberlink doesnt work either.

So I dont think that is the answer

PDVD7 should work. PDVD8 has issues I believe. Not sure a MEGA codec pack is the best way to go ... perhaps you should give Filmerit a go?

Also: Please include "My System" in UserCP (from log I got that you have a P4 2.8 GHz - which should be good enough for FFDShow @ DVD.

I was having similar issues as well. It definitely is a codec battle for DVD section. Even Elcard MPEG2 got complete pixelation and unplayable. Ended up using Cyberlink PDVD8 (homeNetwork) decoder to watch DVD's.

Also make sure your autoplay options for the drive is set to TAKE NO ACTION as PowerDVD was coming over the top of MP.

I hated using Klite Codec pack. So I switched to CCCP. For me, I use MPV/MPA for my dvd playing and I use ffdshow as a resize filter in the DVD postprocessing menu. As I play mostly interlaced R2 dvds, MPV decoder has the best deinterlacing properties for me.
