    Hi guys,

I've installed the SAF 4.00RC1 with PowerDVD9 and Haali Media Splitter. Unprotected DVDs and my DVD rips which are h.264 + AC3/AAC/DTS in MKV seem to work fine. But the videos I've downloaded from youtube, which are AVC + AAC LC in MP4 files don't play - mediaportal just says Unable to play file: filename || Video codec: AVC || Audio codec: AAC LC

    Anyone have any ideas? =/

Oops, should have mentioned. codec setup is
    Mpeg2: PowerDVD9
    h.264: MPC-HC
    MPEG / AC3: ffdshow
    AAC: ffdshow

Switching the h.264 decoder to ffdshow doesn't help. =(

I definitely installed SAF last, the last time I did it. I'll uninstall and reinstall everything again just for kicks.

Here's a sample. Any video grabbed from youtube is like this - mp4 container, AVC video and AAC LC audio, and none of them work. =/

YouTube - final SDK 2009 Franqey vs Kite (japan) sample-001.mkv

I have no problem to play it, just try update SAF to latest Beta.
BTW - You are on Win7 - what is your OS language version?
SAF currently support only EN and DE version.

.mp4 files from youTube wouldn't play for me either, no matter what codec I tried to force upon it - I renamed them to .avi (no transcoding or anything, just a simple rename of the file extension) and now they play fine

I have loads of YouTube files, and will be acquiring plenty more I imagine, so just renaming them all to AVI doesn't seem feasible. I ended up changing the x264 rendered to ffdshow and things seem to be ok. I wonder why the MPC decoder didn't work?
