I used Add/Remove programs to do the uninstall like I have done in the past. Then I went through the installer doing a default install. The files wound up where they should have and like previous installs there is no desktop shortcut created for the server. I attempted to start the server (TvService.exe) and that's when I got a dialog with the following message:</p><p><strong></strong></p><p><strong>"Cannot start service from the command line or a debugger. A windows service must first be installed (using installutil.exe) and then started with the Service Explorer. Windows Services Administrative tool or the NET START command."</strong></p><p><strong></strong></p><p>I tried to Start the TV service by going to Administrative Tools<img src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7" class="smilie smilie--sprite smilie--sprite5" alt=":confused:" title="Confused :confused:" loading="lazy" data-shortname=":confused:" />ervices but I got exactly the same result. Then I uninstalled TV Server and SQL Express (boy, was that a pain, the uninstaller left some entries in the registry which I finally had to remove manually). I reinstalled SQL Express and TV Server and got exactly the same result. Can anybody help me (I DON'T want to reformat the HDD)?</p></blockquote><p></p>
