At the risk of sounding juvenile (I'm 50+) - Me! Me! I've got the same problem. OK, my kit list is - MSI motherboard, AMD [Sempron 3000? 2GB RAM) server XP Pro SP3, MediaPortal RC1 (and HomeSeer home automation - X10 stuff). (MediaPortal client on there but also installed on laptop and another PC - works quite brilliantly. I did this because MediaPortal client keeps dying [is 'only' RC] and hate having to reboot all the time. TVEngine seems remarkably stable. Also means I can use VideoLan or similar to watch recordings if necessary.) TV cards 1*FloppyDTV T, 2*FloppyDTV S2 (one fixed on Astra 2 for Sky UK, one motorised). On board audio and MSI GFX5300 with latest drivers. TV cards are connected as follows, Terrestrial directly to motherboard FireWire connection. Motorised satellite card to Sky staellite card and then to second motherboard FireWire connection. Motorised dish is connected via SuperJack positioner (so no problems with power). Using an old EchoStar box it can successfully 'see' multiple birds and tune them in. Using the TVEngine Config (on the server), I get the same problem (at first I couldn't even do a single scan but clicking the option box did let me scan one bird). However as the thread says now I just get card locked, hadn't thought to uncheck the box and try again. Not sure about the [mySQL] database state - I installed and deinstalled this several times when it refused to run a couple of weeks ago.Left it for a while went to bed then cleaned it out the next day, reinstalled and 'voila' up it came - with all the recordings etc. still intact! I am very, very happy to send logs but not sure what/how to do this (TestTool watchdog, clear files, run, zip files or is that just for MediaPortal?). Tell me and I'll be pleased to send them or do anything else that may be required. Maginally interesting point - if the dish has to move then MediaPortal client times out while waiting for the dish to reposition - not a bug but something to be aware of.
