I have just installed MP TV Series, v3.5.0.2028, with MP 1.4.0
I wish tu use it in French but I can't find anyway to set language :
- The FAQ says :
  • Lauch the MP-TVSeries Plugin Configuration
  • Click General Tab
  • Drop down the Language box, choose your language
  • Close MediaPortal
But there are NO language box in General Tab.
Also, in Online Data tab, the nanguage bax is greyed.

Thank for your help

I believe it now simply uses the MediaPortal language setting.

Did you adjust that one to French?

    With my config :
    - MP is configured in french.
    - On my thetvdb.com account, the preferred language is french
    - My series files are named in french

With this, import work correctly, but all names and infos are recovered in english.

It seems that language box disappeared from interface, but after various searchs, I have found that language setting for MPTV Series is still defined in the database.

    The workaround is :
    - With Sqlite Database Browser, open TVSeriesDatabase4.db3 file
    - Go to Browse Data and edit options table
    - Search onlineLanguage property, and change value from en to fr
    - Save and quit

And now import work well in french.

I hope this bug will be corrected in future version.

    Thanks

If its disabled, its because it hasn't downloaded the languages from online. It attempts this when configuration is loaded.

    See image attached.

ltfearme you're right their is an error message in language retrieving (see image attached).

But how I can correct that ? My internet connection is ok and import from thetvdb.com work nicely !!!

And also another question : MP-TV says internal language is fr (second log line), so why the interface is still in english ? (fr.xml file not used).

    Thanks for your help.

Don't know, are you sure there is no firewall on your machine blocking by application? Configuration.exe is seperate to MediaPortal, but if you can import with-in configuration that would be weird.

Can't help you with-out logs, perhaps you're missing the local language files for whatever reason. Try re-installing the MPEI package.

    Ok, resolved.

The cause is a very slow internet connection in my home (with downloads in background), and a very short timeout...
After a router reset, remote language correcty found.

For the second problem, after a reinstall of the package, it's ok.

    Thank for your help.

I have the same problem, that the language box is grey, but in german. A reinstall of the package doesn`t solve the probleme and my internet connection is definetely not too slow. When I go to the "About-Tab" and klick "show" at "local paths/languages" there are the .xml files for a lot languages.

    thx for any ideas

That language box doesnt refer to the local language, only online languages. I guess the thetvdb.com is having problems when you're trying, I have no idea why.
