    Hi

Did you install with administrator privileges?
It looks like MP is using an alternate configuration file for some reason:

    2011-05-16 23:22:16.635086 [Info.][MPMain(1)]: Using alternate configuration file: C:\Users\DigitalLF\AppData\Local\Temp\MPTemp\MediaPortalTemp.xml

That makes me think that the install is messed up. If I were you I would completely uninstall MP and delete all MediaPortal/TV Server configuration files in C:\ProgramData or C:\Users, and then reinstall the version that you want to use.

mm1352000 i did not see that. i only got one account on my computer and i have UAC disabled.... i have made a complete uninstall and removed everything _BUT_ not the stuff in my temp folder.... will give this a try now....

did not help... i complete removed everything with the uninstaller and then cleared the temp then reinstalled and cleared temp and that did not help stops at the same place... :(

its at the installation something goes wrong... it does not install everything.... should i reactivate UAC and give it a try???????

i have now tried to install with help of just the DeplayTool "package-mediaportal.exe" and that did not help and then i tested with UAC enabled and that did not help....

the thing is about logs... i try to make them but if the mediaportal.xml is missing like in my case the debug software can't do all it steps it stops when it waits for Configuration.exe to start and it crashes at Remote section....

If installation is failing then there should be an installer log in your log folder that will tell us what is going wrong. Are you able to find and post that? It should be in C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\

well the problem is that it does complete but under the installation it never runs "package-mediaportal.exe" but the installer tells me the installation is complete. but it is clearly not installed 100%... mediaportal.xml is missing for one...

Okay, so the installer tells you it is complete, but the log might still have extra information. I have to go to bed, but please post the log if you can find it.
