After loads of trouble with Windows Firewall I managed to get the required ports open so stopped receiving the "xxx ports seem to be blocked" messages. Now when I start media portal and select "TV" from the menu, I'm presented with the normal "TV" screen with options for TV Guide, Recordings, etc. but MP stops at this point. I can't select any of the menu options or get back to the main menu. The only way to get out of MP is to start Windows Task Manager and close it down from there. Because of this I can't generate any log files. If I subsequently start MP again after closing it down using the Task Manager, MP starts but is completely transparent and all you can see is the windows desktop. I know it's difficult without any log files but any ideas what's going wrong? [/QUOTE]
