when i record a program via the timer (or by selecting it via the EPG), MP changes to the channel, but the screen goes blank (sound is still there though). the program records fine.

is this normal? ie with a single tuner you can't watch the channel you are recording? i would thought that you could.

also.. i always have the "timeshifting" option turned off... why is it that after every time i record something timeshifting is turned back on again ?

Hi chenks

I does not sound correct. I've got the same TV card (2 in fact). If I record a program (or 2) then go to watch that particular channel I get a menu asking if I want ot watch from start or watch from live point and I am able to view the channel or recording no problem.

Are you using hte latest Nebula drivers?

Can't help with timeshifting as I always have it on.

    Recording enables timeshifting.

If you where on a different channel prior to recording, hence blank screen.
try backing out to homescreen and then go to TV, should then be ok.

This hopefully will be one of the fixes that the new TVengine will resolve.

is it possible then for MP to look at whether timeshifting is on or off before recording.. and once the recording has finished, put timeshifting back to the way it was before starting the recoding ?

i actually found this problem to be a codec issue in my case, using a certain type of video codec that came with my fusion card, as soon as i changed it to Nvidia pure decoder problem went away straight away.
