After about 5 standby / resumes my card priorities are corrupted.

My setup includes 2 TV cards:

Card #1 has priority 3 (a DVB-T Stick Hauppauge Nova-T-Stick)
Card #2 Radio priority 2 (built in...)
Card #3 has priority 1 (PVR250)

I have several Channels combined on cards 1 and 3.
So if both cards are free card #1 with its high priority should be used.
This is working for about 5 to 10 times.
Then (from my point of view without any reason) card #3 is used.
When the wrong card is used, i can find the following entry in log:

card:1 type:DvbT is available priority:-97

instead of

card:1 type:DvbT is available priority:3

By the way, in setup tv the card priority remains correct.
When I change priorities (for example put card 1 down to prio 1 and then put it back to prio 3) card 1 will be used for the next 5 to 10 times and then the same error accurs again.....

Has anyone an explanation ?
Maybe the problem is driver related, maybe windows gives the card (USB-Stick) another adress or something... I can´t help myself !!!????

Thanks, Tobi

    Post your logs.

Do you have DVB-T EPG grab enabled.

If it is anything like my multituner setup then when comming out of standby/hibernation the TVSERVER always starts an EPG grab on card 1 whatever its priority is.

THIS locks the card 1 out of any further use until the EPG grab has finsihed.

Even if a schedule is imminant and the EPG grab is stopped the actual grab still goes on thus the card is still locked out.( this doesn't happen in single tuner situations)

Thanks, posting my logs right now doesn´t make sense, because right now card one is used, I´ll have to wait 5 to 10 wake up events until the problem accurs again. When the wrong card is used again, I´ll post my logs.

I changed the following things and hopefully never get this error again:

    Disabled DVB-T EPG grab.
    Checked Reinitialize Tuners on wakeup.

    Let´s see.

    Thank you very much,

    Tobi

Seems to work with DVB-T grab disabled.
So I now download EPG data for all channels using WebEPG and my problem is gone.

    Thank you SciDoctor,

    Tobi
