Change Overlay Tint? (1 Viewer)

Hello,

First of all I just LOVE StreamedMP. It is my favorite skin. My wife and I would like to change the overlay color though. What I mean is the smoke tinted background that is used in the fanart views, behind the text. We have in the past hit a random button on the keyboard that changed it from smoke to clear. But we cannot recreate that when we want

Can anyone tell me how to change this from Smoke tinted to clear? That way the fanart picture is not being halfway covered.

That's not a feature...but most likely a bug somewhere. I would check your Error.log when something like that happens, I have seen it before but can't seem to find re-producible steps yet.

If you dont want the overlay, you could edit the skin xmls and just remove the reference to the graphics. If you do that, it would be difficult to read text IMO

I came to the same conclusion about it being a bug. What I did though was to simply edit the fanartoverlay.png file to get the desired effect. The original overlay cuts off too much of the fanart. It is a little harder to read, but still very readable on a good screen. I may darken the text a tad though.

I see the same bug. It seems to mostly be related to the fan art chooser? Like maybe if I select fan art that has already been downloaded? I'll try to repeat and see what I come up with.

I'm wondering if there could be an option, that when you pause a video the OSD comes up for a configurable amount of time (5 seconds maybe) and then goes away? That would not help seeing fan art, but would be better for paused videos.
