Hi people,
I made a stupid mistake this morning while trying to network a file server to my MediaPortal PC, I changed the computer name and workgroup. This didn't help my network issue
, but now when I start MediaPortal I don't have access to the TV Server.
I'm assuming this is more down to the computer name change (the TV server is installed on the same PC), rather than the workgroup change.
Trying to get into the TV Config I noticed that the SQL test was failing, until I changed the path name to show the new PC name, the test completed with the new name inputted but the server still won't kick in.
Besides having to un-install and re-install the TV Server, is there anywhere else I need to/can change to rectify the change of PC name?
Cheers for any ideas,
LK
Ok, I've actually taken the easy option.
I changed the PC name back to the original name, un-did the changes I made to the SQL config and TV section of the main MediaPortal config, and then re-booted.
Seems to be working fine now....
...but it really puts a hole in my plans to re-organise my network.
