Hi all

Could someone post their Channel configuration details for Channel 4 HD? (UK FreeSat)

For some reason, Channel 4 HD has artifacts all over the screen and never clears. All of my other HD channels are absolutely fine though. So I figured it might be a channel issue. When I finished the scan, Channel 4 HD was listed on a different frequency to what KingofSat was showing..so I edited to match KingofSat and the problem remains.

Channel 4 HD moved to Astra 1N in November or December. Its details can be found here:

Astra 1N Frequencies & Channels

DVB-S2, 8PSK, SR: 22000, FEC: 2/3, SID: 21200, VPID: 2305

When scanning for channels within MP's TV Server Configuration windo, make sure you update your satellite transponder list first so it knows about Astra 1N.

Thanks, I got the info from KingOfSat and I am using 1N to get the channel already.

My question was to confirm the settings as I am getting artifacts and the scanned Channel 4 HD on 1N had a slightly different frequency to the information on KingOfSat...both have the same artifacts though. Hence the reason I asked if someone could edit their Channel 4HD channel and let me have the details from a working (no artifacts) system.

I get artifacts on CH4 HD which makes it unwatchable (as it is artifacts combined with previous frames. I believe I read the issue was with the ATI Catalyst drivers. A similar problem happened a while ago with BBC1 HD and BBC HD. This was fixed in a latter set of drivers but CH4 HD is now a problem. I think I read in another forum that the last version that worked OK was 11.4 but I haven't tried them.

GPU drivers are definitely worth checking, there's a YouTube video showing the issue you describe on BBC HD from years ago and that turned out to be a GPU driver issue.

I too have been having ATI artifact problems and have since 11.9. Ch4 seems the worst, although the BBC HD channels are only marginally better.

Think I'll go back too 11.4 me'self.
