I am recording a film on BBC2, and watching a program on ITV2 (different transponder). Now want to change channels to BBC Three (on same transponder as recording), which takes an awful long time (over 30 seconds), before I get told that no audio/video available. There are tuners available, and as requested channel and recording channel are on the same transponder, they should only use up one tuner ?

This happens reproducable. I have attached logs of both my tve3 server and my client, they are on the same machine. I hope this gives enough information to debug this.

I also have to say that channel changes are really slow (+30 seconds) on my box, with only occasional lucky quick ones in the sub 10 seconds range.

Anyway, keep up the good work, looking forward to new releases with load of bugfixes.

    Hi!

please setup your debug level to "debug".

this should trigger more info in mediaportal.log on client.

It is done in mediaportal config.

    then paste the contents here.

    Regards

This line bothers me a bit..

    "signal quality:0"
Cant be good - do u have reception problems ?

    6/17/2007 9:11:04 AM F card: Tuner locked:False signal strength:39 signal quality:0
this happens when tuning "BBC Three" on the serverside tv.log.

The server is waiting for a PMT but never receives one ... see the "wait for pmt" lines.
This mite be a sideeffect of the signal Q = 0.

Can u usually receive BBC3 without problems ?

Hmm, strange as I am living two miles from the main freeview receiver here in london. I have problems with BBC3 though, seems like it is not tuned properly. I will try and retune tonight, as BBC3 only transmits in the evening

Also you could try and update your BDA drivers for the dvb-t card in question.

    (I edited my previous post).

AFAIK, I have got the most recent BDA drivers for my Pinnacle Dual PCTV Pro PCI. they are version 4.0.4.0 (16/08/2006). Altough that seems pretty old to me, it seems to be the most recent driver revision that they have on their website.

Just a quick question, what seems to be the "best" DVB-t card out there for quick channel changes and stability ?
