I am having a problem with channel changing and the new TV engine. I have tested various versions intermittently and am currently using the latest release. My problem is on changing channels. Sometimes I can change change with no problem usually if I have just turned on the TV.

However, after watching TV for a period of time or changing channels frequently I get problems where either the picture will freeze despite the audio continuing, or the stream will skip backwards before changing the channel. The client also seems to struggle to change channel if you have paused the stream and then try and change the channel while the stream is still behind time.

I have tried different codecs and experience problems with all of them. The MPV/Dscaler ones have a problem sooner than the nVidia codec.

Is anybody else having these problems?

Great work on the engine so far, it has come a long way since October.

Are you using the tv server (tv engine #3) or just the plain ol' svn (tv engine #2)?

For me, at least, there's a memory leak in the tv server and it causes the same kind of freezing problem you're describing. I'm having no problems with tv engine #2.

I am using TVe3. Where is the memory leak..on the client side or server side? The server side of the TVe3 seems very stable now and I rarely have to restart the service. I think these problems are coming from the client.

Having the same kinf of problems, but could knot open a bug report thread yet.

It would be nice if you could reproduce the problems and post the logs. Reports without logs re not considered by the developers (theres not much they can do without it.)
