Thank you riksmith.
The problem is that "DEEJAY TV" is a very popular tv station in Italy, and is recognized by all the other software programs (dvbviewer, w7mc, etc.).
Don't know if they changed something in the other parameters, but with version 1.1.2 (and previous versions) it has always been recognized and added to the channels list.
Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you,
sdf

We changed the code. So i think that is the problem.

I think as a workaround you can add / update the channel manually with the info from the log.
Further i will see if we can do something about this for 1.2.0.

Thank you riksmith.
If I can suggest something regarding channels scanning, naming and archiving, I would simply add every channel found as it is, without merging, etc.
Let me explain the problem here in Italy.
There Dvb-t stations that are unencrypted.
The same stations, with the same name, present in Hotbird, but encrypted.
Regarding dvb-s radio stations, you can find the same staion in two different bouquets (with different providers) unencrypted and encrypted at the same time.
Thare are many years now that every time I reformat the pc I have to:
1) scan dvb-t;
2) export dvb-t channels list;
3) in the export.xml add a prefix (i.e. "D-") to the channel display name and save the file as "export.dvb-t.xml";
4) clear the channels list;
5) scan dvb-s and analog repeating the steps above (adding a different prefix to the displayname).
As you can see, it would be much easier to have dvb-t, dvb-s and analog channels lists that you can merge as you want, and have two different channels with the same name.
If it could be possible to scan and let the user choose how to organize the channels, it wouls be great.
This problem in Italy is common: in another italian forum many people frequently ask for a method to mantain the channels separated.
I'm sorry if I bothered you.
Thank you,
sdf

Sorry, I forgot to say that when scanning analog radio, if MP finds a station, the scanning jumps 0.4 Mhz.
In Italy there stations between 0.10 Mhz (for example 102.6 and 102.7).
In this manner many stations are lost.
It would be better to choose a step of 0.10 - 0.05 Mhz always.
Thank you,
sdf

A lot of questions and suggestions at once.

Some quick remarks and answers:

As far as i know the current SVN does not automatically merge DVB-S and DVB-T anymore.
For analog: Could you please start a new topic if you have not done that yet?

Sorry riksmith.
It's so many years I'm using MP that I have many ideas.
Didn't try scanning completely with last SVNs. Will do.
Ok, will start a separate thread (regarding analog).
Thank you,
sdf

Hi sdf, could you try the attached patch with current SVN?

It is not yet an approved solution. What to do:

When scanning check "Do not detect that a channel has moved"

    AW: Re: Channel scanner/TVDB behaviour with dupicate channels

    I thought: lets look at your export in the other thread :)

    I found the cause: Your provider is doing "illegal" stuff. It uses the same ONID + SID combination multiple times. That should not happen, it should be unique.

    why should this illegal

    ONID describes the Original NetworkID
    TSID descripes the Transportstream ID
    SID describes the Service (Channel)

    by dvb s is for one transponder ONID and TSID for every channel the same
    only SID VID AID have other values

    you can see it in this lists
