Hi all,

I have just un-installed the old 0.2.3.0-RC? and installed 1.0 final and I wish I had NOT!

I am encountering a lot of trouble to get the TV-channels in working order for the PVR-150. Most of the channels are not tuned correctly (no color) and some are so far away they don't even show a picture at all. In the old days during setup I could select my hometown and cable provider (Beuningen, UPC) and all channels were there. Now I have to scan channels/frequencies in order to find them and the result is utter crap. I have set the PVR-150 for country 'the Netherlands' ('cause that's where I live), signal is coming from 'cable' (Yes, I've already tried antenna and results were even worse, makes sense) and I have added S-channels (I need those).

What am I missing? Previous updates took me about an hour or so to get it up and running including EPG, but now EPG is yet far ahead of me. Now I am already stuck to get the channels o.k.

Anybody out there who can help me or send me an exported channel_list.xml file?

Thanks in advance,
Leo

Well, I solved the problem!
I uninstalled MP en reinstalled it without the TV server, I used the TV plugin instead and now I could preset the TV channels by downloading them the old fashioned way like I mentioned before. Next challenge will be the EPG and Power scheduler, but for now I am happy that I can play movies and music and record TV programs. Nice work, team MP!
Best wishes for 2009.
Leo.

Webepg still doesn't grab (in the Netherlands) from neither tvgids.nl nor sbs6.nl. Bummer :-(

It looks as though you are having a conversation with yourself. I have the same issue now with my NVTV dual tuner cards when performing a channel search for U.S. chanels on cable. I had only attempted to run a channel search because the signal seemed so awful compared to before 1.0 Final. Versions prior to the final release did not have this issue.

Now when I perform a channel search, most channel numbers do not correspond to the actual channel, in fact, the chanel labels are usually a set of random characters. The random characters seem to differ every time I run a channel search on any of my four tuners.

Hi Lee,

I have the same problems with my club3d tv-card, even settings the channels fixed in the TV server setup does not make some channels work.

btw for the EPG i use mc2xml works perfect as it uses the same XML as MCE.

I use the TV server already so i cannot go back to a single-seat setup.

What if you export your channels you have now and install the tvserver again and import the channels there ?

Well, I have it running nicely now, without EPG though. The Mrs. is getting fed up with me tweaking to get EPG to work, so I will it the way it is and schedule recordings manually. I can live with that. Thanks for your replies though.
