I finally found some time to try Mediaportal on our HTPC... that said, I am a complete newbie . Before I installed Mediaportal, I uninstalled the WDM drivers of the KNC ONE DVB-S card, restarted and then installed the BDA drivers, without any problems.

After installing Mediaportal, I tried to set up the Television part. However, when I try to "Add" a Capture Card (under Television - Capture Cards), it says that no video capture card has been found.

Well, I don't really know what to do now

It's a known problem that MediaPortal can't find newer revisions of the KNC ONE DVB-S. I have the same card and solved the problem with the new TVEngine. Try the TVServer and it will work .

Oh ok . Well, then I'll dig into the instructions of how to setup the TvServer.

Ok, I installed everything that's needed and everythign seems to be in order (except.. there was a message about a dll being too buggy, but I didn't write down which dll exactly ). But when I press the "Scan for channels" button in my KNC DVB-S config, it instantly says 'done' and nothing happened. I am a little bit confused on how things are supposed to work in the TvServer .
Btw. I can't click on 'ok' in the configuration.. nothing happens when I do, is this normal?
