Channel visible only one time then "Unable to start graph" (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

I have a problem watching tv. The first time I try to watch a channel everything is ok but if I try to preview (in tv server configuration) or to watch the same or another channel after the first one, I have a failed graph error.
If I restart the tvservice the first channel will work but again not the second one.
So, resuming I have to restart the tvservice each time I want to watch a channel. It's like something is locked after shutting down the tv channel so the tvservice must be restarted to properly unlock some resources...

Thanks for your help.

PS: I think the error is "start subch:0 No PMT received. Timeshifting failed"

I thought I was the only one, with my Pinnacle stick on Windows 7 [https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...cond-time-only-win-7-a-75329/?highlight=dvb-t] Which by the way works flawless if I use the Pinnacle application.

So, maybe the issue is not just my hardware but in a combination with specific MP code ?

i'm having the same problem with my Terratec Cinergy C PCI HD DVB-C card. But only with the latest drivers, older driver works ok but have another problem. With older driver TV-server finds only 90 channels, the latest driver finds all 123 channels, but have that issue with ''unable start graph''.

It looks like I finally solved it and the answer was in MP all the time.I hope this will fix your problem too !

Edit the card properties of the card that gives issues and set the Preferred network Provider to whatever your card is. See screenshot.

Thanks for your answer, but unfortunately I can't select the Preferred network Provider because my card is a Sat card and I don't have this option. I set other options as you did but I still have the same problem... Any other ideas?

This worked a treat for me.

I Set the "Preferred Network Provider" to DVBT and my issue was resolved immediately.

I did also have some issues with getting the right drivers for my TV Card.

Windows 7 (32-bit)
4GB RAM
1GB NVidia Geforce GTS 250
Divico Fusion Dual Digital 4

Anyway, just adding some info to help others that search the forum!

I don't mean to poo-poo in the pool but reading this thread I have to mention that a lot of developmental work has gone into the various versions of MediaPortal since it was first opened. It was a MP 1.1 Beta-1 when the OP began, and talk about the PMT and the Network Provider as well as issues for ATSC tuners and now the DVB-T and DVB-S through MP 1.1 RC2, RC3 and now we're at RC4!

There are still Vista users with select USB hybrid tuners having issue with MP - apparently the Vista drivers (and network provider functionality) are not fully compliant but reading the forums and getting ideas is certainly helpful. Let's not overlook the progress & development of the code along the way as well

Hi Guys

I have the same error. Was hoping that the final release of 1.1 would solve it but no joy.

I can tune to the first channel but then have tto restart the TV service to get the next channel, otherwise i get the graph error.

I have try'd a few diffrent settings including the preferred network to DVB-s in the edit card dialogue but no joy.

Its a MSI DVB-S2 (Tv @nywhere) card that is the problem. I have a dual DVB-T tuner which is working fine.

If anyone has a suggestion or can point me to another thread would appreciate it.

As stated by -Manfred-, did you try the --DebugOptions (just put --DebugOptions after .exe and you will see an extra menu item) and checked "always run graph after stop"? Don't know if this is a solution but worth a try.
