Channels with no audio pid(s) (1 Viewer)

During a test of cable channels I noticed that local provider has some channels which does not have any audio pid (ie. info channel and some mosaic channels). I checked this on provider sdt/nit list. TV and STB can receive those silent channels fine.

Log show "[INFO ] - card: WaitForFile - no audio was found after 15,000021 seconds". Is it so that TVE is always waiting audio? Some base clock thing?

Yes, video-only channels are not supported.

I note that the server side limit/block will be removed in TVE 3.5. Don't know if there is a further TsReader limit/block that would prevent those channels working though...

It is very interesting to test TVE 3.5 with this tuner. I will test it as soon as MP1's plugin is ready for it.

TsReader.ax currently requires an audio stream to be present.
