On server
tvengine3-12-05-2006--01-12h--Rev12070.zip
is installed, and on client plugin is installed

Installation Type: one server and one client

On server, tv server as service is started, programs scanned, and if I connect to myself with mediaportal localy, I see all channels and everything is ok.

When I try to connect to server from client machine, first I am being asked to enter host where server is. I enter ip address of server computer and got answer that it is connected. Then I select view channel list and nothing happens. Whatever I click nothing happens (enable/disable TV, streams).

I am also sending log files from server and client.

I forgot to say:

There is no firewall on server or client.
Network is switched C-class, without router.
Subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, so I would say it is not a network issue.
Also tried with my laptop - clean install, connected, but cannot see any channels or picture from any channel.

    Hi,
Have you changed the SQL browser service so it starts automatic (check if it's started too)?

    Regards
    Roy

    I have the same problem.

    * The SQL browser is running @ automatic
    * The database allows network connections (as mentioned in the wiki)
    * I don't use any firewalls, except for my router. Which shouldn't interfear because it only affects connections from outside the LAN, as far as I know
    * My MediaPortal.xml file is configured correctly (the Hostname is entered, "MediaPortal")
    * On the server, the Gentle.config file uses the same REAL ip ("MediaPortal")
    * I use the BlueTwo skin

MediaPortal freezes endlessly when trying to enter MyTV, I have to close it thrue the taskmanager. I never get to see the MyTV screen.

    The error.log states

    Code:

I use the latest SVN of the TVengine and client and also the latest SVN of MP on MP 2.1.0

I have the same problem as Bram.

Server and client work fine on server machine.

Client (on client machine) connects to tv server, but when trying to view tv, MP freezes and CPU goes to 100%

All firewalls switched off, SQL Browser service on automatic and running on server machine.
