    TV - HTPC Connection:

    Hello there,

    I've got MP up and running on my HTPC, all well and good.

    I've installed the MP client on my laptop (standard 1.0.0.0 install with no tweaking done other than disabling some plugins) and am trying to connect to the TV Service over my LAN. I get the following in the TV error.log on my laptop :

    2009-02-18 19:54:03.406011 [ERROR][MPMain]: TVHome: Error in Reload - The database backend (provider MySQL) could not be reached.
    Check the connection string: Server=HTPC;Database=MpTvDb;User ID=root;Password=<blanked>;charset=utf8;Connection Timeout=300;

    The MySql DB on the HTPC must be up and running (well it is, I checked) because everything is working there.

    Any ideas?

    Bob.
