1. TV Card: none

I've got a problem with the plugin-installation on a client pc (the server works fine). When I install the TV-plugin on the client, I can't start the client's configuaration any more (the hdd does some work, but stops after a while) and it takes about 2-3 minutes to start MediaPortal (when initialising the plugins it stops for about 2 minutes). And then, when MediaPortal has started, the TV Plugin doesn't start.

When I uninstall the TV-plugin, the configuration and MediaPortal start normally.

There's no TV-card on the client.

    Hi,
Have you enabled sql Browser on "server"?
You can read about iy here

when it can't connect to server configuration can use many minutes to start up...

Thank you for your hint, I'm one step further. The sql Browser is enabled, but I found something misconfigured in my Windows Firewall. Now the client can establish a connection, MediaPortal and the configuration start in normal time.

In myTV I can see the channel list and EPG, but when switch to the channel, Mediaportal freezes (I waited about 15 minutes, nothing happened any more).

The server shows the client and tells me that it's streaming.

    Hi,
Attach mediaportal.log after you have tried & it fails, try also to disable firewall completly on server & check that it doesn't cause anything.

Thank You, I got it running! I disabled the Firewall on the server and started the client. Then a firewall-message appeared on the client to open the client's firewall for mediaportal.exe. I opened the client's firewall and it works. Then I re-enabled the server's firewall and it's still working. Ok, it stutteres a little bit on the client, but that's another thing... :)

    Hi,
Nice you got it working, those damn firewalls can fool you around sometimes.
About stuttering, i have better results using "new" TsReader but then some other problems like forward etc doesn't work properly (but that will get fixed soon), else if you use wireless that can also cause stutter & you should see some "repaint()" in mediaportal.log every 2 -5 min as a result.........

    Regards
    Roy
