client/server hardware dilema | Page 2

    Can't seem to find that case anywhere[DOUBLEPOST=1376327943][/DOUBLEPOST]I have media portal running on the tower as we speak using streamedmp and it seems smooth but I'm very new to it so not sure.

    ^ surprised you found it slow.. ... was it clean dedicated client with 2x2gb?


    i don't own this hardware but i think it would be fine for titan skin. esp with 2x2gb. the only issue is video playback which is a little borderline. i wouldn't recommend buying this hardware but if already owned and on a budget i think it is an ok option. but as i said i don't own this hardware :)

    I just installed it onto the main system I think I just used standard install but can't quite remember or may have not been sure what I was doing lol[DOUBLEPOST=1376328468][/DOUBLEPOST]
    Thanks i appreciate the help.

    Im wondering if i was to buy a new board and processor to be both server and client what would you recommend.[DOUBLEPOST=1376328551][/DOUBLEPOST]Bearing in mind I want best power efficiency I can get really budget againagain

    antec 2480 my mistake. only recommend bc it is cheap and included psu.[DOUBLEPOST=1376328665][/DOUBLEPOST]click nz wiki in my sig goto hardware bit that is what i recommend. its fast cheap best value.[DOUBLEPOST=1376328845][/DOUBLEPOST]ps. they are nz price. if u want power efficency then need gold psu. the i3 3225 uses 10w less but cpu and mobo will cost more than amd.
